Australian Food & Grocery Council

Australian Food & Grocery Council and ASN Media to collaborate for an online TV program called “Sustaining Australia”

The Australian Food and Grocery Council (AFGC) and ASN Media are working together in an innovative content collaboration, to produce an online news program about the $131 billion Australian food and grocery manufacturing industry.

Presented in a news-style with a leading Australian news anchor, the program will be a long-form and high-engagement overview of the industry that will examine current issues, and look into the future of the sector.

The program will explore the leading work being undertaken by AFGC and others on a range of issues, with key focus areas being: sustainability, international trade, talent and manufacturing. The program combines interviews with industry leaders and professionals, news reports and sponsored editorial profiles from organisations that support the sector.

Tanya Barden, CEO of AFGC, said: Australia’s $131 billion food and grocery manufacturing industry plays a vital role in our economy, urban and regional communities and the lives of all Australians. The ‘Sustaining Australia’ online TV program is an important initiative that will offer perspectives and insights into this diverse and complex sector.

Jonathan Love, Director of ASN Media, said: “ASN Media is excited to be working with the AFGC to tell the story of the food and grocery manufacturing sector. It’s a crucial industry that touches each of us in our daily lives and choices. We’re looking forward to exploring key issues, capturing human stories and engaging with all those interested in food and grocery concerns.”

The program will be officially launched at Food and Grocery Australia 2019, 28-30 May, Sydney and then hosted on AFGC’s website. The program will form part of an extensive communications campaign to reach and engage with AFGC members, industry leaders, organisations, writers, bloggers, journalists and the Australian public.
