Trading Partner Forum Resources

The AFGC Trading Partner Forum (TPF) is the meeting place for fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) suppliers and supermarket retailers focusing on delivering end-to-end supply chain efficiency. We do this though collaborative efforts focussed on reducing cost and complexity for supplier and retailer trading partners. 

The Executive Committee includes representatives from leading Australian and New Zealand supermarket retailer and suppliers. Including retailers Coles, Countdown, Foodstuffs, Metcash and Woolworths. Along with supplier representatives from Johnson and Johnson, Mars, Nestle, Sanitarium and Simplot.  

A suite of open sourced best practice documents, guidelines and tools have been collaboratively developed ‘by industry for industry’.  

Our work areas include:  

Managing supply chain master data between trading partner is complex. This program of work seeks to drive improved integrity and alignment of supply chain master data across business and between trading partners.  

The Perfect Delivery program aims to provide a single suite of aligned requirements across Coles, Metcash and Woolworths for the delivery of product into retail distribution centres.  

Staying Ahead of the Game is a broad ranging review and report into issues facing the industry in regards Loss Prevention and its management. The Loss Prevention Benchmarking Tool and Guide provides practical approaches participants might use to understand and address issues resulting from Loss Prevention.

Shelf Ready Packaging Guidelines 2017 is the latest update in a series of guidelines provided to help Suppliers and Retailers get the most value from SRP, whilst the Display Pallet Toolkit provides a basis and considerations for planning and activating Display Pallets in the local marketplace.

A review of key opportunities for industry-level collaboration across suppliers and retailers in relation to physical logistics.

One page guides on a range of subjects, including pallet wrapping, multicoding and carton suitability.
