Plan and progress towards Net Zero: An introduction to the NSW Government’s Draft Net Zero Business Framework
20 September 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
The NSW Office of Energy and Climate Change (OECC) is working collaboratively with industry to develop a net zero business framework. Hear from sustainability expert Patrick Crittenden and from the OECC team working to help businesses take practical steps to shift towards net zero emissions.
In this interactive webinar, you will explore version 1.0 of the draft framework and use it to explore the management systems and initiatives your business can implement to improve its approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and progressing towards net zero.
The webinar is suitable for staff and businesses that are just starting out with net zero – as well as those that are more advanced – and will provide examples and ‘how to’ information in nine key areas, including:
- Establishing the strategic context for reducing greenhouse gas emissions to achieve net zero
- Developing net zero awareness and skills in your business
- Setting net zero targets
- Improving net zero data and reporting systems
- Engaging stakeholders across your value chain
Information will also be provided on NSW Government funding that is available through the Business Decarbonisation Program and other opportunities.
Following the webinar, participants with facilities in NSW will have an opportunity to apply for a free pilot program. Businesses that will participate in the pilot program will work with a consultant to review their current approach to net zero and prioritise the management systems and initiatives needed to improve their approach. Please note that places on the pilot program are limited to a number of businesses only.
Please note that the free pilot program has limited availability and will be capped at six businesses. This webinar is open to AFGC full members only.Register for webinar
