2022-2023 Federal Budget: What does it mean for the national economy and the food, beverage and grocery manufacturing sector?
Join AFGC CEO Tanya Barden and Belinda Allen, Senior Economist at CBA, for a post-Federal Budget Briefing to hear what the top lines are about the state of the economy and also, more specifically, what’s in it for the food, beverage and grocery manufacturing sector.
Belinda Allen will provide an economic and fiscal outlook focussing on major themes, while Tanya will deliver a more granular and portfolio-specific viewpoint on measures announced in the budget impacting our sector.
The AFGC’s pre-budget submission details a series of policy recommendations that aim to enhance the competitiveness and resilience of our critical sector and leverages the landmark report, Sustaining Australia: Food and Grocery Manufacturing 2030.
The AFGC has continued to advocate to government that the food, beverage and grocery manufacturing is an essential industry and the right policy settings are needed to encourage continued investment.
Members’ questions will be encouraged on the day.
