BACKGROUND:

Agri-commodities form a key input into the food and beverage manufacturing sector. Recent variability in global demand, foreign exchange and supply of certain commodities is leading to uncertainty regarding supply and prices.

Join the webinar to make sense of the drivers, production and supply of key agriculture commodities.

Speaker:

Dr Jared Greenville, Assistant Secretary
Agricultural Forecasting and Trade Branch | ABARES

Jared leads the ABARES Agricultural Forecasting and Trade Branch which develops short and medium forecasts for production and trade and provides research and analysis related to industry policy, trade and biosecurity issues. Prior to joining ABARES, Jared worked for the OECD in agri-food trade policy, global agri-value chains, food security and risk focussing on South east Asia. He has also worked for the Productivity Commission across a range of diverse issues.  Jared has a PhD in agricultural and natural resource economics from the University of Sydney.
