AFGC WEBINAR | AFGC Business Stimulus Package

The Federal Government announced a range of support measures to help businesses and the Australian economy in response to both the domestic and global challenge that the COVID-19 pandemic presents. It is important to be aware of the new support initiatives in place and what impact and opportunities they have on business, including cash flow and reporting.

Join this webinar to learn more about how the business stimulus package may impact your business and the rationale behind the measures. Michelle Dowdell, Head of the Coronavirus Coordination Team at the Department of Treasury will be presenting to AFGC members on the business stimulus package and will answer questions members may have.

Michelle Dowdell
Lead, Coronavirus Coordination Team
The Treasury

Michelle Dowdell is Lead of Treasury’s Coronavirus Coordination Team, which coordinates the development and implementation of the Government’s Coronavirus Economic Response measures.
Michelle was previously Treasury’s Head of Melbourne Office and a Principal Adviser in Retirement Income Policy Division, where she led Treasury’s engagement with a wide range of stakeholders and provided advice on all aspects of retirement income policy, including age pension policy and the tax and regulatory aspects of superannuation policy. Since starting in Treasury as a Graduate, Michelle has worked in a number of policy areas within Commonwealth Treasury and Department of Finance. Michelle has also been an adviser to three Treasury Ministers and was seconded to NZ Treasury advising on regulatory reform.
