HEALTHY FOOD PARTNERSHIP – CONSULTATION ON REFORMULATION

The Healthy Food Partnership (HFP) is a major initiative of the Commonwealth Government aimed at improving the nutritional status and health of Australians. Convened in late 2015 it comprises representatives of industry (primary industry, manufacturers, food service, retailers), the public health sector and Government. Since commencement it has been examining options in a number of areas including consumer communication, industry actions (pledges) to assist healthy eating, industry portion size guidance, and product reformulation. In the next few months it is anticipated that a number of activity areas will be confirmed as the HFP moves from planning to implementation.
