Demystifying Australia’s Energy Challenges – Breakfast Events

The AFGC is delighted to invite you to a special event where we will unpack the current energy debate. This will be held in Sydney on Thursday 16th November and Melbourne on Monday 20th November.

The energy sector is in a period of disruptive transformation. A greater focus on renewable generation, new digital technologies and changing consumer expectations are turning the traditional industry model upside down.

Balancing the somewhat competitive objectives of security of supply, affordability, and sustainability as we transition to a changed energy mix is a key focus of all businesses with high energy costs. Many businesses in response to these challenges are taking a more strategic approach to energy procurement including alternatives to traditional procurement.

This session is intended to assist our members’ understanding of the energy market and consequential consumer price impacts and current policy settings.

At this fascinating session we aim to have organisations who have embarked on this journey share their lessons learned firsthand. We are also delighted to have Craig Mickle, Partner, EY who will add insights around what is causing current concerns in relation to electricity prices and how businesses in Australia, and overseas are seeking to overcome their energy challenges. We hope you can join us for this topical discussion.

These sessions are available to full members of the AFGC only, places are limited and registration is complimentary.
