Introduction to PIF V 6.0 Workshops
Introducing PIF V6.0 – this is the first major update of the PIF in over 4 years.
The latest version of the AFGC’s Product Information Form (PIF V6.0) will be officially launched at the AIFST 50th Anniversary Convention on 17 July 2017.
The PIF standardises the business to business information required about food and food ingredients for regulatory compliance throughout the supply chain. Importantly, this version brings the PIF into the digital age with online portals for PIF creation, distribution, searching and archiving. PIF V6.0 also includes significant data improvements and additions to support country of origin labelling, health star ratings, VITAL® Allergen outcomes and health and nutrition claims. The online version of the PIF is, in a sense, just one small step in the PIF’s continuing journey, but is also one giant leap for the ability of the food industry to deliver authentic, manufacturer-curated data through the supply chain to address the modern consumer expectations for information about the food they eat.

The AFGC is running workshops in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, New Zealand in July 2017. A workshop will be held in Brisbane in early August. Places are limited
