The AFGC’s Supply Chain Seminar provides an excellent opportunity each year for supply chain executives of Australian food, beverage and grocery manufacturer community to discuss topical issues within our industry.The seminar provides the unique opportunity to gain insight from thought leaders, anticipate and discuss future trends, and to share practical experiences and network with industry peers.An ever-evolving business environment, challenging customer and shopper requirements, the developing multi-channel platform, and the increased need for innovation to deliver supply chain efficiency, coupled with the need to drive business growth and profitability, provide the backdrop to the 2019 seminar program.

The seminar content has been developed by the AFGC’s Supply Chain Committee specifically for fellow members of AFGC, and is highly relevant for Supply Chain Directors and their operational teams across all supply chain functions, providing valuable insight into the key issues impacting our local industry.

The inaugural AFGC Sustainability Seminar will gather together leaders in the fields of water, energy, responsible sourcing, food waste and packaging to provide an opportunity for sustainability, packaging and corporate affairs executives of the Australian food, beverage and grocery manufacturer community to be informed and discuss emerging issues within our industry.With growing community and government interest in the areas of responsible sourcing, food waste and recycling, the seminar provides an opportunity to gain insight on current industry risks, trends and opportunities from thought leaders and industry peers.Presenters range from food and grocery companies highlighting best practice initiatives, industry service providers highlighting the latest innovations in sustainable manufacturing to waste industry professionals providing a perspective on the global calls for reducing food waste while increasing recycling to development of a circular economy.

The aim of the day is to provide real life examples and highlight opportunities for food, beverage and grocery companies to adapt to the emerging risks and trends while generating sustainable growth.
