The Industry Leaders Forum brings together the senior executives from the top food, grocery and beverage companies. It provides our members with a once-a-year opportunity to actively engage with key government ministers, decision makers and public policy influencers and to hear first- hand about the pressures and federal issues shaping the food and grocery industry policy agenda.

The Annual Industry Leaders Forum Dinner and Foodbank Awards will be held at the National Arboretum.

Registration for the 2015 Industry Leaders Forum is now available. Registration fee includes the cost of dinner at the National Arboretum on 21 October, 2015.

Venue and Accommodation

The Industry Leaders Forum and Annual General Meeting will be held in the Public Theatre at Parliament House, Canberra. The Annual Industry Leaders Dinner and Foodbank Awards will be held at the National Arboretum, Canberra.

Accommodation for the Industry Leaders Forum is available at East Hotel. Reservations can be made by contacting the hotel directly or by making an online reservation. Please indicate your affiliation with the AFGC to obtain the negotiated rate. As the Industry Leaders Forum is held during a Parliamentary Sitting week, it is recommend reservations be made as soon as possible as availability for accommodation in Canberra is limited.

To book accommodation online:

  • Log on to East hotel’s website
  • Click on the book now tab at the bottom of the webpage and go to the date starting from 20th October 2015
  • On the top right hand side of the booking webpage there is a enter a promotion code cell
  • Type in AFGC click apply
  • A new webpage will appear with the new rates
  • Click on the desired date and room type and proceed with your reservation
  • On completion a confirmation number will appear

Transfers will be provided to and from Parliament House and the National Arboretum. The transfer schedule is as follows:

8.10am – East Hotel to Parliament House

From Parliament House

5.30pm – Parliament House to East Hotel

To National Arboretum (Dinner)

6.45pm – East Hotel to National Arboretum

From National Arboretum (Dinner)

10.30pm – National Arboretum to East Hotel

Delegates arriving into Canberra on the morning of Wednesday 21st October, will need to make their own arrangements from the airport to Parliament House.
