Airport and rail networks program

We have worked with Virgin, Qantas and terminal managers Australia wide to install new away from home recycling systems in all major Australian airports, providing away from home recycling opportunitite to more than 90 per cent of Australian airport visits.

These include:

  • New South Wales: Sydney International Airport T1, Sydney Domestic Airport T3 (Qantas) and T2 (Virgin and regional), Newcastle Airport and Albury Airport.

  • Queensland: Virgin and Qantas terminals, Brisbane Airport food courts, Brisbane International Airport, Gold Coast Airport, Cairns Airport, Mackay Airport, Rockhampton Airport and Townsville Airport.

  • Tasmania: Launceston Airport

  • Victoria: Virgin and Qantas terminals, Melbourne Airport food courts and shopping areas

  • Western Australia: Perth Airport and Broome Airport

In 2009, a partnership between the PSF, mX Magazine and Metro Trains (former Connex) in Victoria completed installation of new away from home recycling systems in more than 100 of its premium and host stations. Our case study on the Metro Trains (Connex) outlines the great outcomes that were achieved through effective planning and implementation.

New away from home recycling systems have also been installed at Brisbane CBD stations through a partnership with Queensland Rail and the Queensland Government.
