Australian Packaging Covenant

We strongly support the revised Australianl Packaging Covenant (APC) as the most appropriate and equitable policy option for consumer packaging management. To find out more about the APC see our Sustainability section.

The food and grocery industry is working through the Australianl Packaging Covenant to minimise the amount of consumer packaging that ends up in landfill. The Covenant is achieving good results but more needs to be done.

For a more detailed look at our commitment to the APC have a read of our 2008-09 Action Plan Report. It is compulsory for APC members to report on their efforts and achievements in the packaging space, this is done through a detailed annual report, which outlines the key performance indicators achieved throughout the year.
