Code Administration

The Code Manager coordinates the management of the Code, with the assistance of a Steering Committee and Complaints Committee. Specific management duties include:

  • interacting with industry on matters relating to the Code
  • facilitating a complaints resolution procedure
  • coordinating the review of uptake and effectiveness of the Code
  • coordinating compliance monitoring arrangements
  • coordinating periodic review of the functions of the Code and amendment as required.

Membership of the Steering Committee is comprised of:

  • Chair—AFGC Board member or delegate
  • Industry representatives (2)—from Code signatories
  • External stakeholders (2)

The Code Manager is in the process of filling the positions on the Steering Committee. The current external stakeholders are:

  • Ms Robyn Murray, CEO, Go Grains Health & Nutrition
  • Mr Jim Gruber, Food Liaison Pty Ltd

Membership of the Complaints Committee is comprised of:

  • Chair—from the legal profession
  • Industry representatives (2)
  • External stakeholders (2)
